Blue Innovation Symposium Showcases Breakthrough Blue Tech
The Blue Innovation Symposium, New England’s premier event for showcasing developments in the marine technology sector, today announced its call for flash talks and presentations. The three-day event, due to take place in Newport, RI in January 2020, will center around the opportunity for companies to profile their exciting technologies in a series of 5-minute flash talks to attendees.
“The flash talks have become an increasingly popular feature of the Blue Innovation Symposium over the years as they give companies the unique opportunity to showcase their latest products to a captive audience of industry leaders, government officials and key personnel from marine tech associations,” according to Tobias Stapleton, Dean of Graduate Studies at Salve Regina University, and one of the event’s founders.
The organizers have also invited interested parties to submit proposals for full presentations as part of the emerging agenda, Sensors and the Next Wave of Data. The 2020 event is organized by Salve Regina University, The Canadian Consulate in Boston, and, for the first time, TSC Strategic, an ocean industry marketing, and media agency, whose portfolio of publications includes Ocean News & Technology (ON&T).
“We will be revealing some exciting news regarding the agenda over the coming weeks, including a raft of new sponsors. These developments are a testament to the buoyancy of the blue tech industry right now. We see sensors and data as playing an integral role to its immediate development and that’s why The Blue Innovation Symposium 2020 will be such an opportune moment for the industry community to come together and discuss the coming decade,” Stapleton added.
The deadline for submitting proposals is November 27th for presentations and November 20 for flash talks.
